I was wondering if any of you have people asking you to explain the Trinity to them.
Somebody I know out here grew up in a Mormon family, and according to their beliefs,(Mormons)Christians are wrong because we "worship three Gods, instead of the One true God."
I asked him to explain this, because this was news to me, and he said that this is what mormons are taught. He asked me to explain how we don't.
To me, it's always just, made sense. I never thought much about it, just sorta, made sense on it's own. I don't ponder why the Orange is Orange, or why potatoes grow in thr ground and not trees, just like I've never pondered the Trinity. It just made sense.
But explaining to somebody else that it "just makes sense" won't work. I tried. He didn't understand.
So I used this...I, myself, am a Daughter, Student, and Friend. Seperatly, all three have different aspects to them. I'm more conservative as a Student, more open as a Friend, and more bitchy as a Daughter. I'm all three. If I can have three, and more, different "personalities", why can't God, who can do the impossible, have three? And if they are seperate from each other, different body type things (Christ was on the Cross, was God in Heaven or on the Cross also? I don't know) - it's still easy for me to understand, after all - God created all of this from NOTHING. There wasn't a "Easy Earth kit" in his basement somewhere, this was all made from nothing. Is it really so hard to believe that the God who did this, can't do something else, like the Trinity? True the word "Trinity" isn't mentioned in the bible, but also, Joe Smith is a false prophet, and the Bible cleary warns about these people.
